The people own the country, it belongs to all of us. We also have all of the power, we just have to find the courage as a people to use it. It's ours, the country, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the White House, the state houses, the Congress, all the agencies, the Department of Defense, it's all ours and has been hijacked. We have to rise up and take back our power or this country will be gone in a couple decades.
When the housing bubble burst and the stock market crashes it will be many times worse than 2008. That is probably going to be the trigger in this country. Housing is already trending down in many parts of the country. Start stockpiling yellow vests.
Most of the world believe the Yellow Vest Protest in France is due to a gasoline tax, no, that tax was the last straw there is much more to it.
Macron has given up his plans for the fuel tax, but the people of France have been pissed off for a long time about many things. They are cutting back on health care, cutting pensions, families are having to live together, some people are hungry, they are having a hard time paying rent, many schools are being closed. President Macron is a Neoliberal. Does any of this sound familiar? They have had it with their government. They still have some strong unions there, even the farmers have a union. Never piss off the French farmers! I believe this is one reason they are so good at organizing large protests. This is what works, the problem is the police use violence to create violence so it can be said those protesting are violent. There will always be some problem people who show up to cause problems, always. It is not the majority.
The only thing that works is for the government to be threatened by the people. Wake up America! Turn off the TV and get off your asses. Politicians will be afraid of not getting reelected. They will not want us mucking up the functioning of cities, they will not want to have it constantly thrown in their faces they are failing the people of this country. We need a third political party.
In this country the austerity is kind of being held back due to fear of the huge explosion when austerity measures against Social Security, Medicare etc. are taken. Many people on these programs are not really surviving now. I get more SSDI than most and am living in a car. They run me out of any subsidized apartment I rent. I can't use the Medicare I pay for and haven't been able to for years. Now I am told I can't sign up for a Medicare Advantage Policy due to not having an address. They are administered by counties. I have been in this county since 2015 and there is much documentation of that. Those who still have jobs are afraid to speak up, but how long until you are homeless too, so many in the US are one paycheck away from not having a home.
In Soldotna they tried to take my SSDI. My mail was stolen and opened, some of it would eventually come back either taped or with the ends cut off. I had a blog post that was never published about it. Notices sent from Social Security were not received and then they accused me of not sending them back. Then Social Security did not return phone calls or listen. My phone calls were diverted and the people I spoke to laughed at me, just like what goes on now, such as when I call the local fair housing council. There is no fair housing, they are not there to assure a fair shake for poor people, get real. They have made any entity that is supposedly for the people a non-profit or privitized, that is so a citizen who is wronged can't file a FOIA request and they don't have to answer for the abuses. This is also true of the homeless shelters.
I have watched a large number of videos about the Yellow Vest Protests and have been lifted up by the people of France. They are an example to the rest of the world.
