This documentary is about the inability of rice farmers in Haiti to compete with the rice sold from the US and how it contributes to poverty. This is the old story we are familiar with in the US about small farmers unable to compete with large food corporations. We are all better off when we can buy from local farmers. It does not address the other story of the cement industry. Haiti has large deposits of limestone and should be exporting cement, instead they are forced to import cement.
