As far as I am concerned the biggest corruption story about healthcare reform is the silent conspiracy against single payer, which a huge number of health care professionals are for. How much money does it take for the pharmaceutical and insurance industries to make that happen? We will never know. Remember these health care professionals who want single payer are the people who have often spent their whole careers dealing with the problems of trying to deliver health care to people with no insurance or insurance denials. They are spending time they could be using for patients doing paperwork. In other words the suggestions of those on the front lines were ignored. After being promised real reform it is heart breaking. This video clip is Rose Ann DeMoro the executive director of the California Nurse's Association. She is not a nurse, she is a promoter of nurses, worker rights, democracy, and single payer health care. She has referred to Sarah Palin in the past as a "Neiman Marxist".
Here she is talking with PBS on 9/4/09:
Lack of health care for thousands is a symptom of a sick democratic political system.
This is a clip from Michael Moore's, Capitalism:A Love Story, in which he and some nurses lead a march in support of single payer. The voices of nurses and doctors are being suppressed. We know 70% of the physicians in this country want some kind of public option. Today the white house has allowed one doctor from every state to come and listen to President Obama speak. That is too little, too late. One doctor does not represent physicians as a whole in one state. There are those who practice medicine primarily to make a lot of profit and then there are those who truly care about people. The doctors and nurses for single payer were either ignored or swayed to support the current plans for health care reform. They were not listened to beforehand. Now at this late date President Obama has a token group of physicians gathered at the white house. Do you think they all brought their white lab coats or they were given out when they got there? Doctors do not bring their white lab coats with them to this type of meeting. They are designed to protect their clothing in a clinical situation. Is this reactionary to the Mad As Hell Doctors going across the country and going on MSM talking about single payer reform? Notice the MSM gave them almost no coverage at all.
